I've posted once already but I went one year back and my post was not there. I adore Rebecca Chavez which I stated. I years ago worked with Rebecca. She was good to me as my boss but also my PA. Several years passed and I moved away for 5 years and got sick so badly i had to move back to Hobbs to be with family. I couldn't live alone anymore. Although I care about my care I recieved from Rebecca it was the girl in her office that I could not tolerate any longer. This girl when trying to talk to her treated me like I was talking to a "rock". No feeling, no compassion at all just an I don't give a damned attitude that she made very apparent to me by actually hanging up on me twice. I won't tolerate being treated badly or hung up on especially by some young girl with a real attitude problem that continuously made me feel very small and very unimportant. I have PTSD and have for several years so you just don't go out of your way to be rude to a patient who was once healthy and had a nice life. I very lost 2 husband's the last one was a year ago. I lost my only daughter also so I was on anti depressants but ot a needle junkie or a drug addiction of any kind. I'm a senior citizen devastated by the losses I've had and alone and now very sick. I'm on oxygen which is all new to me and just afraid each day that I wont wake up tomorrow. I did talk to someone in management about this girl Jennifer is her name but you know I never heard an apology. I've heard nothing other than I owe a $200 bill. I'm sorry but because of this one girl I lost my both doctor ( PA) and my old friend Rebecca because I will never go back.

In total AMG is good, especially Lance DeLong. If you can bypass Mondays, the wait time isn't too long. The receptionists, nurses, and lab technicians are good at their jobs. However, there are a couple of downsides. The first is that trying to get ahold of someone in one of the doctors' offices can be difficult. Often you have to call multiple times to get a response. The second is that each office doesn't have its own fax, so many times information faxed in never reaches the doctor. But all in all, it's a pretty good place to go, especially if you just want to walk in and see someone.

I had a very bad experience. I got there at my appointment at 9:15. No one acknowledged me (a lady looked straight at me while I was signing in and did not say a word to me). I was told that I had to get down and go inside the clinic even though I was getting tested for Covid. I had all the symptoms for Covid and I felt very weak. I felt very sick and there was not any chairs for me to sit down in since it was so full and busy. After over 30 minutes waiting, I went up to the desk to ask if it was going to be much longer. She told me that they had taken me off the list since I didn’t put I had an appointment I just wrote the time that I arrived , I did put 9:15 on there, but since I was feeling really sick, I couldn’t really think straight. The woman was pretty nice and understanding, she put me back on the list to be seen and told me that I needed to wait in my car and they would call me and go test me out in my car. I ended up waiting over an hour in my car when finally, somebody called me, they said they would be right out to test me another 30 minutes go by and I don’t hear from anyone I decide to call into Lance Delong’s office and ask them if anybody was on their way to which they end up transferring me to labs. No one answers the first two times trying to speak to someone in labs. On the third time of trying to get a hold of someone in labs, someone finally answers. They said that I needed to get down so I could get tested in labs. At this point, I almost left, because I felt horrible, and they made me feel like they didn’t care about me. As I’m walking to labs, Lance Delong calls me himself and tells me someone will test me in my car. I decided to go to labs anyway because I just wanted to leave. I had been there for 2 hours already at that point, and I felt awful. When I get to labs, nobody acknowledges me. I have to go out of my way to say “excuse me I need to get tested.” When I explained to them who I was, they finally swab me. Turns out I was positive for Covid. I honestly do not like coming to the doctor, and I try to avoid coming to the doctor unless it is absolutely necessary. The only reason I needed to go was because my employer asked me to get tested, and I felt very sick. It was very frustrating. I understand they were very busy, but I am not a new patient. I have been coming here for years, never had a bad experience before. I would just like American Medical Group to be a bit more empathetic and understanding when it comes to their patients. People go to the doctor not because they want to, but out of necessity. Most, if not all people that go to the doctor are under a lot of stress and pain. Most, if not all feel really sick. I wish they would be a bit more professional and make their patients feel a little more welcomed and at ease rather than just seeing their role as simply a job for a paycheck.
